
Trade Shows and Events
During my time with CWT I have had the opportunity to work on large scale client events and travel industry trade shows. As the designer, my role was to apply CWT branding to our trade show displays, as well as develop themes and styles for client events that offered the chance to step outside the brand a little to build excitement around the evening social event. Below is a selection of examples of my work on these events.
This is the 2019 CWT Booth at GBTA (Global Business Travel Association) Convention using CWT's current branding. Each year I would work with our trade show partners and a select group of CWT Marketing and Meetings & Events team members to communicate the desired messages to convention attendees. This includes printed pieces, digital displays and presentations, as well as social media graphics to promote CWT speakers and educational sessions at the convention.
In 2017-18 CWT was going through a brand transition and this is an example of how that transitional brand was utilized during the 2017 GBTA Convention. The primary difference being the use of the old "Carlson Wagonlit Travel" logo in conjunction with the newer brand elements.

For an example of problem solving and agility, in 2012 our GBTA client event took place at the Boson Pops. They were late to inform us that it was undergoing renovation to the outer facade at the time. So in seeking a solution to improve the situation visually I created an enormous billboard wrap to cover the scaffolding. It was then paired with red curtains to hide the scaffolding from ground level.
Our client event "Thrive in Retro" was a "Mad Men" themed party with music and cocktails from that early 1960's era. The name for the event was tied our overall marketing message for the convention which focused on how a CWT managed travel program can help a company's business "thrive" in the current business world. Above is an example of two of the invitations sent to our guests.

A sample of invitations from our 2017 event which took place at the JFK Presidential Library in Boston. Since this was the year the CWT brand made a major change we decided to use our new color palette and fonts to help unveil that new branding during this event.

Entry way signage from a 2013 event for GBTA in San Diego, California. Each year our client events during GBTA are partnered with various charities such as Folds of Honor (as pictured here), Make-A-Wish, Habitat for Humanity and even other smaller charities that were local to the cities where our events where held.
A digital billboard promoting a CWT hosted event on the giant "Hackatron" on the Facebook campus in California. This was an event to help educate and encourage Facebook employees to use the new travel program and applications that CWT developed for them.
Posters/handouts promoting another CWT sponsored "Travel Fair" event at Facebook HQ. This was an annual event that further promoted their travel program as well as offer an opportunity for Facebook employees to interact with preferred travel partners which included various hotel, airline and car rental companies.
